| Rep Garrett Bradley 12 vs. Coca-Cola 10 | Minor League | Hingham - Haley Field | Sat, May 12, 3:00 PM |
Great back and forth game which went to the end as Coke rallied in the 6th with the wining run at the plate - but Bradley played tough defense to preserve the win. Andrew Brazel pitched a great game and arrive safely on first base 3 times, as did Goode. Bradleys hits were spread out pretty evenly, with the exception of Scott Hom's base clearing "in the park" home run which ultimately won the game for Bradley. Hom (60) and Personeni (56) pitched well. Coke: Brazel (73); Baker (21); Goode (13); Donahue (16) also pitched well. |

| Turner Custom Building 11 vs. Coca-Cola 8 | Minor League | Hingham - Kress Field | Wed, May 30, 5:00 PM |
Two great teams fought hard into the darkness when the game was called after 5 innings. The game went back and forth all night. Turner broke out to a 5-1 lead in the early innings off hits by Cassino, Linton (triple) and Costello. But Coca Cola fought back gallantly with several big hits in the top of the third to make the score 6-5. Turner didn't give up and came back with 3 in the fourth to pull ahead 8-6: hits by Turner (double), Boretti (triple) and Vadaro. To nobody's surprise Coca Cola came back again with a fifth inning rally to tie the score. | The Snug 5 vs. Coca-Cola 4 | Minor League | Hingham - Hersey Field | Fri, Jun 15, 5:00 PM |
In any classic sports match between two fine teams at any level there must be a winner. Many say that is why we compete and most of the time they are right. Tonight at Hersey field a little league game between Team Coca-cola and The Snug Half-pints was "brilliant" not because one team advanced to the next round of the playoffs and the other team's season ended. It was the many stories with in the game that made this a classic. Great pitching, solid hitting and strong defense have been a trademark for both teams all season long and it was on display once again. When you boil this sea-saw battle down you are left with a few gems. The story of the two D'Entremont cousins and best pals playing on opposite sides rises to the top. Both Will 'the thrill' from Team Snug and Jared fom Coke played major roles in the game. Catcher Jared D'Et of Coca-Cola went 1 for 3 and scored a run but it was his play at home plate taking a great throw from John Donahue and tagging out a sliding 'Half-Pint' that kept his team in the game. Cousin Will of team Snug ( whose left-handed swing would make Ted Williams proud) hit a two strike pitch with two outs in the bottom of the 6th to left center field for a double scoring Brendan Morris ,tying the game and sending it into extra innings. With one out in the bottom of the 7th inning, The Snug's Co Co Cooper Nisbet confidently fouled off pitch after pitch, and with the count 1 ball and 2 strikes beat out a solid infield single. Cooper , who has been battiling vision problems this year made use of his new glasses and found a great time for his first hit! Mark 'big mac' Mcniskin then walked and the Snug's Greg' Big W' Williamson came through in the clutch with a solid double to center scoring a speedy Coop and giving the Snug team the win. Team Coca-Cola left it all on the field. There season might be defined best by how this well coached team played as a solid unit. Well done. pitch count Snug Williamson 52, Wheeler 32, Santilli 38, Coke- Goode 57, Donahue 60, Brazel 40, Baker 6 |
