A well played game by both teams. With the bases loaded for BBG in the top of the 3rd , Matt Veith's inning ending right field catch should be on Sportscenters top 10. Solid pitching from P. Murphy 3 innings (59 pitches) also 2 triples and missed an over the fence home run that went foul by 2 feet. W. Vasquez (69 pitches) another great relief outing. N. Cyr, M. Veith and M. Presutti came thru with timely hits. The BBG were paced by the hot bats of Ryan Reagan (3 hits) and Chris Grant and Bennett Lemanski (2 hits each).

The Hedlund Senators capped off a long weekend of baseball with a victory over the strong South Shore Saving Bank Team. South Shore started the scoring early with two runs in the top of the 1st on three consecutive doubles by Vasquez, Murphy and Concannon. The Sentaors fought back in their half of the inning with 10 runs. There were many timely hits, the highlight being a bases loaded triple by John 'Big Papi' Stanley. South Shore had a big 8 run 4th inning that included a home run by Brian Craven. Senators starting pitcher Andrew Spaziani was fantastic as he went the distance with 8 strikeouts. Playoffs at it's finest. Hingham Jewelers were a very tough opponent. Congratulations to them on their season.

Great pitching by both teams. SSSB held a 1-0 lead on a almost over the fence double by Peter Murphy. Going into the top 5 with 2 on, Carson Terres smashes a 2 run triple giving Hingham Jewelers a 2-1 lead with SSSB batting bottom 5. With 2 on and 2 out, Will Vasque 2 run triple then going home on the overthrow to home made it 4-2. Kyle Letorney closed out the 6th.

National League Championship Game

A congratulations to the Snug lead by Gary Nisbet and his coaching staff for a really good season. Here was a team that had a slow start but put together a run that made them a contender in the National League.

Last nite SSSB and the Snug battled it out for the league championship and a shot at the World Series.

In the 1st inning, the Snug jumped out to a 1-0 lead. SSSB came back in the bottom 2nd with 3 runs which was followed by a (Top 10) catch by James Alziebak in deep right center that saved 2 more Sung runs in the 3rd. After 3, it was a 3-3 tie. Bottom 4, SSSB came up with 3 for a 6-3 lead. Top 6, Snug rallied for 1 before the 3rd out.
