Generally the Hingham Little League Board of Director Meetings are held twice per month on Monday nights at 7:30 pm at the Hingham Rec Center. The exact schedule of Board of Director Meetings will be posted on the website. Any Hingham Little League Member or interested party may attend.>
When will the 2008 Hingham Little League season begin and end?
The regular season game schedule for the upcoming 2008 season will begin the weekend of May 2nd and will end on or around June 20th.
Why are there no tryouts for Farm and T-Ball teams?
There are no formal tryouts for Farm League (7 and 8 year olds) and T-Ball teams (5 and 6 year olds). These teams are instructional in nature, coach pitched and do not keep standings. Managers and Coaches are encouraged to select players from the same neighborhoods, schools, friends and balance teams appropriately. We want players to learn the basics of the game, position play, etc. By the end of the 2008 season we would expect players in the Farm League level to face limited live pitching.

How are Managers and Coaches selected for all levels of Hingham Little League?
All individuals who are interested in Managing or Coaching at any level of Hingham Little League complete a Volunteer Application in accordance with Little League Rules. Qualifications, previous coaching experience, previous baseball experience are listed on that form. At that point the Hingham Little League Manager and Coaches Committee reviews all applications and makes recommendations to the President of the Hingham Little League. The President then nominates qualified candidates to the full Hingham Little League Board of Directors for approval. All candidates are reviewed and a vote of the Hingham Board of Directors is taken. Applications for all Managers and Coaches must be re-submitted on a yearly basis. Feedback on Managers and Coaches by all interested parties is encouraged. All candidates are then subjected to a full CORI check as a condition of appointment.
