I. Call to order - 7:15 pm

III. President’s Report – Ed Anderson
· Opening Day Recap
o Excellent feedback, great job everyone!
o Weather held off okay for a wonderful day
o Accounting of raffles to be counted
o Good press. Thanks to Dan McCue for throwing out the first pitch. Thanks to all who pitched in to make this a success.
· Pitch Count
o Gong well, adjusting to the new rule. Extra umpires counting is working out very well. Minors need some work still on this.
o Continue to keep a close watch on this
IV. Treasurer’s Report – Rick Linehan – No Report

V. Managers/Coaches Report - Skip Jenkins
· Coaches Appointment and Approval
· Paperwork for Managers
o Not all coaches paperwork is completed, need to get this completed by June 1st.
o Reminder – only 2 coaches are allowed on bench during the games
· Managers Training/Orientation for Farm and Tee-Ball
o No date scheduled as yet, have to get to this
o Farm league drills are going to get started next week.
· Issue with on deck batter – a boy was injured by a bat from on deck batter
§ Need an injury report for this incident
§ Should be a case of ice packs in the equipment box – reminder!
o Reminder – we have to be more vigilant about enforcing this rule for the kids safety.
o Umpires will be reminded to enforce this rule at next meeting. One warning and then it will be an out
o Important to remind kids, particularly at Kress.
VI. Player Agent – Kevin McNally
· Replacement Players for Majors
o 2 players are listed as out
o 1 player reported to camp late for Best Chevy
o Issue with replacements, 2 on waiting lists
o Two minors have been approached but have declined
o One team short of a player has a brother on the team already
o Need to check on availability of the 2 wait list kids as first step
· Adding late registrations to tee-ball teams
o Should be maxed out at this level!
· Refunds for players who have withdrawn
VII. Team Photos – Melissa Flanagan/Tony Viola
· Scheduling in progress, targeting May 19th weekend to start
· Every team will be playing this weekend.
· Kids there 1 hour before gametime. Need to communicate with the membership. Need to send out a form in advance to be posted on the website
VIII. Playing Fields Update
· Practice Times
o Scheduling is difficult, softball going on at the schools
o Before 5:30 during the week at schools is best bet
o Earlier practices at Haley and Hersey work out
o Saturdays, Haley, Hersey, High School, etc.
o Block out for available times on website, or a reminder at least on the site. Reminders have been sent
· Field Maintenance
o Need dirt at Kress
o Plymouth River needs a lot of work
o Suggestion to move minor games to South School
o Tony has recruited additional help and forwarded to Bob
o Bob continuing to line the fields
o Will be helpful if we get the shed at Hersey
o Most necessary after the rains
o Need to remind Rec to turn the infields as discussed
o Grass needs fertilizer and seed still
· Storage Shed for Hersey Field – Joe Higgins
o Finishing up on the permit, and need to contact Jake
· Scoreboards
o In rough shape at Hersey and Haley
o Discussed electronic board as option for Haley
§ Bob will look into this further
§ Motion made to purchase an electronic scoreboard and necessary electric work to proceed with replacing the board at Haley. Vote Taken and PASSED.
o Melissa has a contact who would help rebuild the board at Hersey, will get price at Hingham Lumber
§ Motion made appropriate necessary funds to have the work at Hersey done by Melissa’s contact. Vote Taken and PASSED
§ Ed to call Rich on the materials to get process started
· New PAL/Lynch Fields
o Work is coming along
o Agree to install the metal lightpoles
o Field house is looking good
o Discussed fencing; will be temporary and can be broken down easily enough
IX. Tournament Teams
· Paperwork is received from the District
· Can’t announce teams until June 15th, but coaches can be made. Start putting together the list of candidates for the teams for next meeting.
· Finalize the player selection process
X. Summer Teams
Not part of Little League
· Suburban – approval to field 1 team at each level
· South River – as many as get started up
· Sandlot – to be determined
· There will be an 8 year old friendship
· Starts after HLL season
· Any interested coaches or managers contact Elliot Sherman
XI. Equipment and Uniform Update – Bill Ford
· Need to follow up for the Williamsport teams
New Business
· Training videos are in, Tony will post them to the Library
· Could use a box for the tball stuff for the Middle School and South School
XII. Umpires Report
· Good job continues, no major issues or complaints
