We will order 1,000 copies of the Directories.
All sponsors, players, Managers and Coaches will receive a Directory.
The Directories will be available during the season.
Summer Baseball
Initial letter has resulted in approximately 50 responses.
Melissa will draft a followup letter to serve as a "last call" for those interested in playing summer baseball.
Photo Day
Photographs will be taken on 5/15 and 5/16 at the various fields.
Any Minor’s Teams not scheduled for games on 5/15 or 5/16 will be required to report to Haley at 2:00 pm on 5/15 to have their photos taken.
Update on Fields
We had a lengthy discussion regarding the responsibility of field maintenance as to whether it would fall under Hingham DPW or HLL. We agreed that Haley and PAL are not the issue but a number of us expressed concerns over the field condition at Hersey. Bob Keyes provided background information on this.
Acting upon a suggestion from Rich Magner we will meet with Dan Miller to see if he is interested in providing maintenance (cutting grass, repairing holes, lining the fields twice per week, providing general field care, etc.) to all four fields for the season. We will attempt to meet with Dan at 2:00 pm at Hersey on Saturday, April 24, 2004 to get a bid from him. We will also need to involve Ted in this decision.
The next BOD Meeting date will Thursday, April 29, 2004, at 7:30 pm at the Hingham Rec Center.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 PM
Minutes submitted by Rob Blomberg, Acting Secretary.
